To Clean or Not to Clean

Neatness is not on Baby Girl’s top ten list of things that are important in life, so her room has a tendency to descend into chaos. It was time to clean. After an hour of trying to help her along, my frustration level was high. I could not keep this child on task.

I stood, with hands on hips and a frown on my face, surveying her lack of progress. “I don’t think you want your room to be clean.”

“I want my room to be clean,” she answered, “I just don’t want to clean.”

The lazy will not get what they want,
but those who work hard will.
